Unhinged wigmaker Miriam Yarimi allegedly attacked neighbor with hammer before horrific crash that killed mom, kids: court docs

The unhinged wigmaker charged in a horrific Brooklyn crash that killed a mom and her two daughters allegedly attacked a neighbor’s apartment with a hammer last year, The Post has learned.

Miriam Yarimi went on a deranged tirade last March at her Midwood apartment building — pounding on a neighbor’s door as she screamed at the top of her lungs, according to an eviction petition filed by her landlord in Brooklyn civil court on April 24.

Yarimi, 32 was “verbally abusing, cursing, threatening, yelling, and screaming” and “banging [a] hammer against the door” of her upstairs neighbor’s apartment at 6:51 p.m. on March 24, 2024, according to court documents and the resident who endured the demented outburst.

“It was her,” the still-rattled female neighbor told The Post, referring to Yarimi, who lived on the third floor of the Avenue P building with her then-husband Shneur Kovitz.

The neighbor, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, has “no idea” why Yarimi went on the attack, during which a child was present, according to court papers.

“It’s very emotional. . . . it’s been too much,” said the woman, declining to provide more details.

The door bash left puncture marks and damaged the entry keypad, police sources said. In the court docs, the landlord estimated $3,000 worth of damage was done. It is unclear why Yarimi wasn’t charged with criminal mischief, which involves damage over $250.

“If the individuals in [the apartment] did not have their apartment door locked, you would have attempted to seriously injure them,” reads the eviction petition filed by building management company P and 21 LLC.

Here is the latest on Miriam Yarimi and the Brooklyn crash that killed mom, 2 kids:

“It’s very emotional…it’s been too much,” the still-rattled neighbor told The Post. J.C. Rice

“Your conduct was dangerous and detrimental to the physical and emotional well-being of the residents in the building,” the court papers read.

Yarimi’s lease was terminated last April, and the eviction case is still pending.

She and Kovitz have since divorced.

The $3,150 monthly rent on the pad hasn’t been paid since last April – bringing the total owed to $37,800, records show.

The neighbor said Yarimi still lives in the Avenue P building, but police sources said she moved to a nearby Midwood apartment, though it is unclear when.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer set to acknowledge popularity of Trump’s tariffs as he admits ‘globalization is over’: report

“Trump has done something that we don’t agree with but there’s a reason why people are behind him on this,” a spokesperson for the Prime Minister said in a statement to the outlet.

“The world has changed, globalization is over and we are now in a new era. We’ve got to demonstrate that our approach, a more active Labour government, a more reformist government, can provide the answers for people in every part of this country,” the statement concluded.

Assailant's Excuse for Sucker Punching Pro-Lifer in Face Will Make Your Blood Boil

As we told you earlier Saturday, an abortion fan was arguing with a pro-life advocate who was reporting for advocacy group Live Action when the woman suddenly launched a barrage of surprise punches—right to the face—stunning the 23-year-old journalist and leaving her bloodied. The victim, Savannah Craven Antao, said she’s been getting flashbacks from the attack, which she deemed emblematic of the entire pro-choice movement.

Warning: Violent imagery.

Now the attacker has identified herself on social media as Bronx resident Brianna Rivers, and she gave an “apology” that made it sound like she wasn’t sorry in the slightest. She even seemed to victim-shame the target of her unhinged rage and strongly implied that she had it coming. This is the progressive worldview, folks:

“To Savannah, I sincerely apologize but cannot sit around and allow you to continue pushing this one sided narrative. I understand hands being put on someone is never the answer, but throwing rocks and hiding hands is worse,” Rivers wrote in a Facebook post.

“She knows the truth and she needs to release the footage in its entirety. Savannah is a professional antagonist not a ‘reporter’ and the truth will be told.”

"She railroaded me into all this." That's pathetic. No she didn't, Brianna; you went psycho by your own choice, and you own your actionsAlmost as soon as she says, “I sincerely apologize,” she turns around and shows she’s not actually contrite at all and implies strongly that the reporter had it coming and deserved it. When folks say things you don't like, you walk away—a decent human doesn't just suddenly sucker punch someone who isn't even a position to defend herself. That’s called assault, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who hopes you are held accountable for your disturbing actions.

Her excuses are as lame as Jasmine Crockett’s when the Texas Democrat rep. tried to play clean-up after mocking Gov. Greg Abbott’s partial paralysis by calling him “Gov. Hot Wheels.” Abbott was hit by a falling tree in his 20s and has worked relentlessly to lead a meaningful life despite being confined to a wheelchair, so her mockery was particularly vicious.

Crockett’s pathetic response to the outcry? As RedState’s Mike Miller reported, she made an outrageous claim that she wasn’t talking about Abbott's wheelchair:

You see, she wasn't talking about him being a paraplegic. She was talking about "planes, trains, and automobiles."

I know, I know, but just roll with it.

Ag Sec. Rollins: 50 Countries Already Coming to the Table on Tariffs

Ag Sec. Rollins: 50 Countries Already Coming to the Table on Tariffs

Agricultural Secretary Brooke Rollins said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the Trump administration’s tariffs are already making countries negotiate

Rollins said, “I think it’s really important to realize that last Wednesday was when the president announced this new american order, the new american economic plan. We’re now two days in, right? You’ve got two days of data.”

She added, “This whole concept is about rebuilding an American economy around American goods, around American industry. We do already live under a tariff regime in this country, but it’s the tariff regime of China, of Mexico, of Brazil, of Australia, of countries that Mexico won’t take our corn, Australia won’t take our beef. The country of Honduras takes more pork than the entire European Union does, American pork, I should say. So, from our farming and ranching perspective, which is what I’m focused on, but happy to talk about anything that it has to, it is time for a change. That’s what this president evoked last Wednesday.”

She added, “So I think we’ll see in short order, a really positive outcome from this. We already have 50 countries that have come to the table over the last few days, over the last weeks that are willing and desperate to talk to us. We are the economic engine of the world, and it’s finally time that someone, President Trump, stood up for America.”

Rollins remarks coincide with a Bloomberg report indicating that India has no plans to retaliate against Trump’s tariffs.Meanwhile, Taiwan has proposed zero tariffs as a foundation for trade negotiations with the U.S. and committed to increasing its investment.
